Like PayFlow Pro, Pay Junction requires a client program to reside on your web server. If you do not have the ability to install applications on your Web server, you may ask your host to install it. If you host declines, then you should opt to go with a payment gateway that does not require a client program.

The WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5 Client component is available for Windows platforms and is shipped with msxml.msi and can be found in asp.zip. It can be integrated as a web-based or non web based application. It does not require the http protocol to run, which allows for greater flexibility in configuration and reduced processing overhead for faster performance. Once you have determined that your Web server supports Pay Junction, you can use a demo account or obtained a live account through Pay Junction, follow these Instructions to activate the gateway in the ProductCart Control Panel.

• Enable Test Mode: You can set Pay Junction to run in Test Mode directly from ProductCart, without having to log into Pay Junction Manager. When you use Pay Junction in test mode, make sure to use the of the test credit card number listed below, or the transaction will be declined.

• Merchant Login: Enter your Pay Junction API Login (case-sensitive).
• Merchant Password: Your case-sensitive API Password.
• Transaction Type: can be set as either “Authorization Capture” or “Authorization Only”. Choose “Authorization Capture” to both Authorize and Capture Funds (the credit card will be debited). Choose “Authorize Only” to authorize the credit card, but not capture funds.When Pay Junction is set to Authorize Only, but not capture funds, credit card information is encrypted and stored in the store database and should be regularly removed using the Purge Credit Card Number feature. When it’s set to capture funds (Authorization Capture), credit card information is not stored in the store database.When an order is received, ProductCart considers the order processed when funds have been captured, pending when its funds have been authorized, but not captured (payment has not been collected yet). Refer to the Manage Orders section of the ProductCart Wiki for more Information.

• Require CVV: This is the CVV code, you must also check the CVV field when activating the gateway in the ProductCart Control Panel, as mentioned below. You must check Reject card unless the CVC2/CVV2 code matches, in the Pay Junction Control Panel > Settings - Devices > Update Settings Security.

• Processing Fee: You can choose whether to charge an additional transaction Processing Fee field. The fee can be either a flat charge or a percentage of the total order amount.

• Payment Name: You can change the description that is shown to your customers during checkout. For example, you could change “Credit Card” to “Visa and MasterCard”. To complete the activation, submit the form by clicking the Add button.
