ProductCart documentation: why using a WIKI
Why this WIKI?
ProductCart contains hundreds of features, dozens of integrations with payment gateways, and connections to all kinds of third-party systems such as Google Analytics and eBay. Keeping all of this information constantly up-to-date is at the same time extremely important for the ProductCart user community, and virtually impossible for Early Impact to accomplish on its own.
We believe that Early Impact staff, our partners, and our customers, by contributing collaboratively to a single library of content related to ProductCart, can maintain a much more accurate and updated “encyclopedia” of everything about ProductCart.
What happens to the existing manuals?
We will gradually replace them with sections in this WIKI. For example, we recently announced the integration with the Stone Edge Order Management system. The documentation is not a static PDF document, but a section in the ProductCart WIKI, ready to be easily updated and improved at any time.
What about spam?
Early Impact is monitoring all contributions to the WIKI. To contribute, you have to register.
Why should I contribute?
You don't have to. However, many ProductCart customers become experts in areas of the application that they constantly use, and might be able to improve the documentation that pertains to those areas. In addition, ProductCart resellers, developers, and other advanced users can contribute things such as code snippets, add-on's that they have developed, tips & tricks, and more.

What do I get out of it?
Contributing not only makes the body of information available to the ProductCart community richer and richer over time, but can also establish you as a ProductCart expert. When you register on the ProductCart WIKI, you can create a user page and then link to it from your contributions. For example, here are two user pages:
