Abandoned Cart Follow-Up for ProductCart 4+

Abandoned carts are an online merchant's worst night mare – after finally getting a customer to your site, getting them interested in your products and adding to their shopping cart and getting them to begin checking out . . . the sale was lost!
There are many reasons for abandoned carts, many of which are unintentional; for example, shoppers get interrupted by the phone or children, they could have lost their internet connection, or perhaps have a sudden pang of “buyers remorse” just as they are about to commit. Worse yet, errors can happen in the checkout procedure.
Merchants who follow up on abandoned carts definitely do save sales. This add-on will virtually automate saving these lost sales. If a shopper has added something to their cart and has provided an email address (either by logging in, creating an account, or going past the billing screen in checkout), but has not completed the order at any point, an HTML formatted email will be sent to them with what they had in their cart and the option to continue shopping, ignore the reminder, or opt out of future reminders. Opting to continue shopping will restore the cart they left behind (based on the link, not a cookie).

- “Continue Shopping” button, enabling the restoration of the cart based on a link, not a cookie

- Cleanup routine which assures that only one reminder is sent out to a given email address, no matter how many abandoned carts there may be for a user (guest or registered).
- Follow-up email is not send out if user has placed an order since abandoning an earlier cart (guest or registered)
- Option to run on a scheduled task you set up or simply run it based on someone hitting the view cart page
